Networking Fair General Information

The NCTSN 2011 All-Network Conference will be held from March 1–3, 2011 in Baltimore, Maryland. The conference provides an opportunity to emphasize collective successes and experiences as leaders in the field of child traumatic stress.

As an essential element of the NCTSN All-Network Conference, the Networking Fair allows Network centers to showcase their individual center activities and accomplishments as well as network with other attendees. Each current grantee center is provided with an exhibit space that includes a skirted 6′ table and two chairs, a wastebasket, poster/tack board to display information about its center and programs, and pushpins and velcro tabs. It is recommended that at least one person should staff the display and be available to answer questions during the Networking Fair while other center staff circulate to see other displays.

Schedule

The Networking Fair will take place in the Holiday Ballroom (Sections 4–6) on Tuesday, March 1, from 3:45–5:00 p.m.

Display setup is scheduled during the following days and times:

Displays must be dismantled and removed before 10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1. Any displays remaining in the exhibit area after 10 p.m. will be discarded.

Materials

Centers can bring brochures and other materials and products related to their NCTSI SAMHSA program as well as information regarding other programs within the center. It is recommended that you bring approximately 100 copies of any materials you wish to distribute. Please use your display as a way to highlight your center’s primary areas of expertise and accomplishments.

To facilitate communication and connection, this ANC will offer Network Trading Cards during the Networking Fair. Be the first get yours made! Complete a brief online survey and the Planning Team will do the rest, delivering your cards to you at the Fair.

Cards will include contact information for the PI, information about target populations and EBPS offered, key accomplishments in the past year, and how family and youth are involved at your center.

Centers are also invited (but certainly NOT required) to bring treats or snacks unique to their local communities, to share with visitors to their display; this allows Network members to highlight part of their local culture to the rest of the Network. Although this activity has been quite enjoyable in the years past, it is not a requirement. Please contact your Network Liaison if you have any questions about this or any other aspect of the All Network Conference.
